SKIP 2 MY LOOP, KIDS

I wish I could say that creating a character like Delta Prime is easy but I guess it’s some kind of magic really. How else to explain it? It’s not like you can simply sit back in your chair and say to yourself, “If I wanted to create a technology driven superhero what immediately comes to mind?” If it were that easy the answer would be simple, because the answer would obviously be Oakland, California. Is there anyone who doesn’t associate modern technological advancement with Oakland?

So if creating superheroes were easy you could just pull out some of the best music from Oakland, namely Digital Underground and of course Raw Fusion. You could bump “Live from the Styletron” and in an ideal world you could create a hero like Prime, maybe.

But then you wouldn’t have a story, right? Unless creating a story was as simple as busting out Newcleus and blasting “Jam on it” until you pass out.

I wish I could say it was that easy. I wish I could just throw on Gary Neuman’s “Cars” and that would be enough but what about the heart of the story? How does one go from Gary Neuman to suddenly leaping up to declare “This story is about a robot who is alive and who is lost and she deserves our sympathy.”

If it were that simple, everyone would do it. Right?
